"Rocky Horror Picture Show & Live" was a yearly event from 1989-1992 put on in Tokiwaza, Japan. It combined a live rock band performance of the more popular Rocky Horror songs with an actual showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (subtitled in Japanese). Most of the songs were performed by the band before the movie, and then a couple more songs ("The Time Warp (reprise)" and "Super Heroes") were performed afterward to close out the night. Serika is the lead singer of the Rocky Horror band, as well as the producer of this album. He performs the songs almost entirely in Japanese, though English phrases are sprinkled in. "Let's do the Time Warp again" and "fuck you" are universal, for instance.
The last track on the CD, "This Road", is not actually related to Rocky Horror at all. It is a studio recording of a solo song written and performed by Serika (in English). The liner notes also contain a mini-poster of Serika, lyrics for "This Road" in both English and translated Japanese, and what I assume is a list of his previous performances. It seems like a safe bet that Serika had planned the release of this album at least partially as a form of self-promotion.
