I invite you all to check out the "pilot" episode of a new podcast I
made. Inspired by the terrific "Beatleg Podcasts"
(http://dinsdalep.podomatic.com) which presents a themed collection of
rare Beatles (and related) audio in each edition, I decided to make my
own version, except with Rocky-related rarities and such. This is the
first time I have ever done anything like this, so there will be some
rough edges to be smoothed out. Edits may be sloppy, volume levels may
need to be evened-out, etc. That's why I refer to this as a "pilot"
episode.

Available sources will be used when available. This means that, though I
may use a track or two from RockyMusic, youtube, or even official CDs
and DVDs, this is in no means an attempt to duplicate or rip-off the
fine work done by the creators of said sources. These are not presented
as the "Definitive" versions of these tracks or audio segments, either
in quality or completeness. No individual tracks are offered for
download. Just think of it as a radio show... a collection of audio
oddities arranged in a (hopefully) interesting way to be listened to
once or twice and then deleted (or kept, if you want). Again, no attempt
is being made to portray these tracks as my own or to violate anyone's
copyright or hard work. Only the presentation is mine. Specific credit
will be given for individual tracks, if requested (for example, "Eddie"
by Kimi and Ritz... the only version available to me comes from
RockyMusic.org). Sites that are used for source material are already (or
will be) linked to under the "Favorite links" section.

That out of the way... here is the link:

Constructive criticism appreciated, though a detailed list of errors
("This edit is sloppy." "This part is too loud/quiet") will be
redundant, as I will have already noticed them. Hopefully I will improve
with experience. Anyways, enjoy or don't, but please give it a listen,
and if anyone gets their feathers ruffled by this, let me know.

All the beast,
Doug North

Well that was quick. I only just posted this on the NG and was going to post a similar message here. Thanks for the repost, Shawn!

I hope somebody gets some pleasure (absolute or not) out of this. Let me know if you have any problem with me using the odd bit of audio from your site.

Comments appreciated, negative or positive.

Thanks,
Doug North

Heck no! I didn't record any of it, after all. Will check it out when I can.

I should hopefully be adding some more sound files here soon as well. James Norman recently obtained a couple of Argentinian RHS casts as well as the 1986 Mexican RHS cast (directed by Julissa). He'd sent one of the Argentina recordings to me previously but I'd held off posting it while he worked on picking up the other two. James usually isn't as bad about procrastinating as I am, so he'll probably send the others on soon. Shawn Colton also uploaded some karaoke tracks that I need to go through and figure out which are out of print and such. And of course I still need to dig through my Damian archives. So much to do, this holiday season!
