I have a question about this song. Is "Don't dream it, be it" quoted from anybody?

I ask because

1) Richard O'Brien referenced so many other films and such in Rocky Horror that I would not be surprised if he took a quote from somewhere and wrote a song around it.

and

2) I've seen this quote referenced in other films made since Rocky Horror, but want to know if it's possible that the writers could be referencing anything else.

Any help would be much appreciated. :-)

"Don't Dream It, Be It" was taken from a Fredrick's of Hollywood catalog of Lingerie from way back when. Richard borrowed the quote from there and that is how the song cam to be. If you listen to the lyrics Tic Curry is singing that he wants to be dressed just like them.
"That delicate satin draped frame
As it clung to her thigh, how I started to cry
'Cause I wanted to be dressed just the same"

The line before it also mentioned Fay Wray. It's not very obviously about FoH, but yeah, I'm recalling that line from the one-room FoH "Museum" in Hollywood.

Thanks.
