We have a local theater that used to show Rocky Horror on Halloween each year. They would set up a rear projector and play the DVD on the big screen. Very simple and effective as it drew huge crowds each year.

The theater would let people rent out the auditorium for a fee, but you had to get permissions to show a movie. I was wondering who do I have to contact to do a public showing of Rocky Horror and how much would it cost?

Criterion USA is who to contact for non-traditional theatre screenings of either The Rocky Horror Picture Show or Shock Treatment. This applies to both DVD projection and actual 16mm or 35mm film prints, which they rent out also. Pricing varies, so you'll need to contact them with details about what you'd like to do.
