I was Googling for something entirely different when I came across this site. I was a regular at the Tiffany Theater on the Sunset Strip from 1978-80 but have a long and sordid past with Rocky going back to 1975 (Fox Venice, UA Westwood and Nuart) and stretching for many, many years.

I was collecting back then, so I have a lot of crazy rarities...but I cherish my memories more than any single item.

One thing that just pops into my mind looking at the lists on this site is how in 1977 the original movie LP was pretty hard to find, it went out of print inbetween the intital film flopping and the birth of the cult, so the first LP I got was the Elephant Australian Cast because there was a seemingly endless supply of them in the record shops I used to frequent in Westwood Village. One thing to look for on the RHPS soundtrack is how many variations ther are in the track listing for "Hot Patootie." At one point I had one that said "Hot Patoulie." It's a subtle thing, but its listed a few different ways on the early pressings.

Hmmm. I have many different pressings of the film soundtrack, and have seen many variations/mistakes on the early pressings. However, I have not come across the "Hot Patoulie" mistake you mention. Could you tell me more about what pressing that is contained on? I'd really like to aquire it. I too enjoy all the differences in early pressing of the soundtrack from across the globe.

Could you possibly scan and post a picture of this pressings' label and/or cover where the mistake appears?

Also, it is my understanding the movie LP was not released in the states until 1979. It was imported up until that point, and the import was difficult to find. One of the reasons the RHPS double bootleg LP came to be I am assuming.

Thanks
