Hi, I'm from Australia and new to this so wish me luck!!! :P
I saw the Rocky Horrow Show in 1975 in Sydney an bought the soundtrack as an LP back then.
I still have the LP but I would like to get the music as MP3 or similar so that I can listen to the music on my Ipod.
There are several versions but I can't seem to find the soundtrack I'm looking for. I have found the album and the lyrics but I am not given the option of playing or downloading the music.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.
Cheers
Kara

Hi Kara,

I am pretty sure you're referring to the cast recording of the 1974 Reg Livermore led production.

http://www.rockymusic.org/recording/austr-74-cd.php

It was reissued on CD in 1984, but is getting more scarce as I believe it's been out of print for quite some time now.

Your best bet is to try to hope it comes up on a place like ebay, or visiting second hand cd stores, where it will pop up occaisionally.

Thanks heaps for the reply.
You're right. That's exactly the one I'm looking for. I had actually been to the site you recommended and had seen the CD and lyrics.
I do have an original LP from back then and what I want is the music in MP3 so I can listen to it on my Ipod.

I guess I'll have to search around here to see whether I can get the album transferred to MP3 format professionally.

Thanks again for the reply.

Cheers Kara
:)

OMG Glenn. I love you!!!! :)
This is exactly the album I've been looking for.
These forums are worth joining.
I've spent so much time on the net and even posted a message on facebook today asking whether anyone knew of anywhere in Newcastle that converted LP's to MP3, as I couldn't find the original to buy on MP3 anywhere and I have an original LP album.

You are a legend and I thank you soo much. :D :D :D

Cheers Kara

It remains one of my favorite of the Rocky cast albums. Lots of energy and lots of fun.
