Meat Loaf performs this Jim Steinman song from the 1977 Bat Out Of Hell album in the third season of Saturday Night Live, originally airing on March 25th, 1978. Host Christopher Lee gives a hilariously awkward introduction: "And now, ladies and gentlemen, I would like you to meet... Loaf! I beg your pardon? What? Oh! I'm... I'm sorry. Yes, of course. Ladies and gentlemen... Meat Loaf!"
