Born: As Marvin Lee Aday on September 27th, 1947 in Dallas, Texas. Name changed to Michael Lee Aday in 2001.
Meat Loaf's involvement with Rocky Horror began in late 1973 when he was cast for the dual roles of Eddie and Dr. Scott in the original American production of The Rocky Horror Show at the Roxy Theater in Los Angeles. Producer Lou Adler offered the parts based on Meat's growing reputation at the time both as a stage actor on and off Broadway, as well as a recording artist (he had one album under his belt at the time, "Stoney & Meatloaf", released in 1971 by Motown Records). Along with most of the other Roxy cast members, Meat Loaf would go on to reprise his Rocky Horror Show roles in a short-lived 1975 Broadway production at the Belasco Theater. Unlike most of the other Roxy cast members though, Meat Loaf would also go on to make his film debut as Eddie in The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). Since then he has gone on to enormous worldwide success as a rock musician, with continuing acting roles in numerous films.
