At this time I began reading about one of the artists I admire greatly, David Hockney. I had only known of his artwork, and had very little knowledge of who he is. Reading about his venturing into working with the human form, and seeing that those images didn't have to be "realistic" to convey feelings or stir one's soul was quite an education. January 1, 1998.
