It seems that the people I most admire are all dog lovers and read more than the average person. I prefer cats myself, but I don't mind cuddling up with someone else's dog for awhile. The warmth and tenderness of losing yourself in a book, and having a well-mannered dog in your lap for company was appealing to me. Unaltered pencil sketch. July 25, 1999.
