For a change, this portrait is someone else's fault. I can honestly blame Ruth Fink-Winter for this creation. She was interested in my Tim Curry related artwork for her RHPS fan'zine called Crazed Imaginations. After sitting down with about twenty five different candid photographs of Tim Curry, this was the compilation image I came up with. Though he wears a teeny smile, it's one that would give me chills if I were to experience it first hand. To me, Mr. Curry's chameleon eyes are his most amazing feature. Therefore, I couldn't resist over emphasizing them (just as most of the make-up artists do in his films). I tried to make him look comfortable rather than "made-up." So, he sports the casual looking 5 o'clock shadow and the soft turtle-neck sweater. I do prefer him with at least a goatee, but I wanted his distinct facial lines in this image. Original pencil drawing was scanned from my sketchpad then edited slightly on the computer. December 27, 1998.
