After visiting a television studio, I realized how dismal of a place the confines of the "compound" can be while not working in one of the sound stages. The TV studios aren't glamorous like the movies studios, and they certainly don't care much for the average fans or tourists. It's a bleak environment (nothing more than a series of guarded back alleys), and the only glitz is on the stages, under the hot lights. Unedited pencil sketch. January 30, 1999.
